Welcome to Knell ("we", "our", or "us"). Knell is a marketplace platform that connects buyers with sellers offering companion and freelance services. • Profile Information: Your username, profile photo, and bio/description that you choose to add.
• Gig Information: Service listings, descriptions, pricing, and images that sellers create.
• Order Information: Details of transactions between buyers and sellers including order status and history.
• Messages: Communications between users through our in-app messaging system.
• Payment Information: Payment transactions are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking details directly.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for sending you alerts.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, pages visited, and features used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers
• Send you notifications about orders, messages, and account activity
• Allow sellers to create and manage gig listings
• Enable real-time messaging between users
• Process payments securely through Razorpay
• Improve and personalize your experience on the platform
• Respond to your support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the platform

3. Information We Share

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share your data only in the following cases:

• Razorpay: To process payments securely. Razorpay has its own privacy policy available at razorpay.com.
• Cloudinary: Profile photos and gig images are stored on Cloudinary's servers.
• Firebase: Used for sending push notifications to your device.
• Other Users: Your public profile (name, username, profile photo, bio, and gigs) is visible to other users of the platform.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Messages and order history may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion for dispute resolution purposes.

• Request deletion of your account and associated data

Knell is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. 8. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications to keep you informed about messages, orders, and activity on the platform. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
